Affordable green screen – Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5
-
A few people have asked us specific questions about the green screen or chroma key effect.
You see the chroma key effect frequently in film, TV, and video.
You are essentially removing a certain hue or color (chroma) from one image, and you’re replacing it with a background image (key).
Hope I didn’t confuse you.
The recipe for a good chroma key is:
1. A green or blue background (muslin cloth, construction paper, paint, or a sheet)
2. Lights (for the green screen and subject)
3. HD camera
4. NLE software that has the green screen effect
5. PracticeIf you have a question, leave it in the comment box.

I enjoy using green screen; mine is fleece that I bought for less than $10 at the fabric store. I use the Chroma Key setting in my Pinnacle software. My top two tips – after lighting – are:
1. Stand a good distance away from the screen to reduce the green reflection and
2. Use a small spray bottle to mist your hair and reduce the frizziness.
But obviously you don’t have a problem with that.
Those are great tips Jendi. Would love to check out some of your vids.
