Kyte.tv to end free service http://www.webvideochefs.com/kyte-tv-end-free-service/ http://www.webvideochefs.com/kyte-tv-end-free-service/#comments Tue, 16 Aug 2011 00:59:43 +0000 amani http://www.webvideochefs.com/?p=1776 I’m a big fan of mobile video production and have been experimenting and using apps ever since I got my iPhone 3Gs a couple of years ago. There are plenty of options out there as far as apps go, but one of my favorite sites is Kyte.tv.

I have more than 350 videos archived on the site and enjoy using the service. The app is easy to use, and videos upload to the web quickly.

Unfortunately, Kyte.tv is ending it’s free service, and everything is going bye-bye.

As of Tuesday, August 30, 2011, Kyte will no longer maintain the free service. If you receive this email and have a professional, paid account with Kyte, this will not affect your paid service (please contact your Kyte support representative if you have any questions).

After launching in 2007 with mobile “life streaming” media sharing apps for consumers and participating in the explosion of online and mobile video, it has been a good run. Now that we are totally focused on our professional offering, we can no longer maintain the free service.

Money talks.

Web Video Chefs featured on Forbes.com http://www.webvideochefs.com/web-video-chefs-featured-on-forbes-com/ http://www.webvideochefs.com/web-video-chefs-featured-on-forbes-com/#comments Mon, 15 Aug 2011 14:00:15 +0000 amani http://www.webvideochefs.com/?p=1758 We launched Web Video Chefs in February, 2011 not really knowing what to expect as far as interest in our video production tutorials.

With every new idea or venture, there are potential risks, doubt, if not good old fear that can prevent one from making a leap of faith.

Sure, both Chip and I have extensive experience in both traditional video production and video on the Web, but these days there are more and more sources for people who want information about video production.

It seems that we must be doing something right because Web Video Chefs was recently featured on Forbes.com. Here are a couple of quotes from the article:

They cover topics for both beginners and professionals that you won’t find covered by other sites. [They wasted no time getting into Final Cut Pro X, even as some of us...more stubborn geeks held back].”

“Whether you’re a pocket video camera buff or professional videographer, WebVideoChefs are a great site to add to your resource list.”

Of course, we reached out to the writer as soon as we found out about the write up. John W. Farrell said that he had been following us for sometime and felt that it was time to finally share some of the video goodness we’ve been cooking up.

We have so much we want to share, and hope you’re enjoying this labor of love as well.

If you’re a fan, just stumbled upon the site, or are a regular visitor, please share Web Video Chefs with your network.

That’s one of the ways you can help us grow.

Thanks for your support! We’re just getting started.
