How to green screen in iMovie

  • In this post we’ll teach you how to use the chroma key (also known as green screen) feature in iMovie.

Keying is the process of removing a portion of the video and replacing it with another visual element. It is most commonly done by using a blue or green background.

iMovie makes keying simple and after watching this quick tutorial, you’ll be able to start using the feature.

  • Miguel. I’ve been meaning to produce a tutorial to explain.  You basically need a pure green background either cloth or paper.  I can show you my set up. Stay tuned.

  • Miguel. The video on how to green screen will be up next week if you still have questions about it.  Thanks for asking!
